Our client is a small but fast-paced independent agency located in the Chelsea section of Manhattan that prides itself on providing superior strategic thinking to challenges in virology therapeutics in strategic marketing and education programs. The company has received additional long term contracts and needs to add a full time ONCOLOGY MEDICAL WRITER to staff. As the person hired will serve as the primary writer on oncology projects, the position requires a minimum of 6-8 years directly related experience, with strong and current focus on oncology. The individual hired will be responsible for developing abstracts, manuscripts and presentation material under tight deadlines while maintaining focus on details and quality. In addition, candidates will have proficient understanding and knowledge of domestic and international regulatory requirements, be current on the therapeutic area in all phases of clinical development. The overarching need is for an oncology medical writer who can create documents accessible to the various target audiences the client serves, who has good judgment, demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Please note that is a medical writing, not a management, position. The person will be based in the agency’s Chelsea office (limited travel and telecommuting possible); salary to $100,000 annually plus comprehensive benefits.
